WebSearch Scholarship 2010 - Computer engineering

WebSearch supports young talented students who can not afford good education.
The scholarship is for B.E in computer Engineering at Kathmandu University. This year we have 3 seats. In total WebSearch is providing scholarship to 11 students.

For the 2010-2011 academic year, the forms has been released and we are seeking outstanding applicants.
Eligible students must have completed their +2; students who have completed +2 but are waiting results can also apply.

Selection criteria includes academic performance, letters of recommendation, answers to short essay questions and interviews with members of the review committee. The final selection shall be made after three rounds of review, and entrance exam at K.U., Dhulikhel.

WebSearch strives to do business in a way that creates a lasting positive effect in the society. It is our aim and belief that our actions should result in both profitability and sustainability, and that one cannot be achieved without the other. The main objective of this scholarship program to give opportunities to talented young people who have the drive, intelligence and aptitude to become the best IT professionals, however, all talented people cannot afford a good Computer Engineering education.

Such skilled manpower is the need of our country, and these people can pave the path of development for our society. Hence, it is very important for companies like us to equip our youngsters with the right skill and experience.

The scholarship program includes:
  • 60 % of tuition fees for the entire under graduation course.
  • Remaining 40% will be earned by the student by completing projects which are designed to give the student suitable practical skills.
  • Each student will be assigned one mentor to guide through the education ensuring that they understand how to apply the skills they learn during their studies.
  • Weekly classes at WebSearch for practical development skill by our senior programmers and designers.
  • 4 years of employment in WebSearch after completion of the studies.
