Social responsibility
One of the major problems of Nepal is the uncontrollable trend of brain drain. Almost all of the better educated and competent people are leaving the country for the dream of better opportunities abroad. This is disastrous for both the country and our countrymen because these people with competence, skill and abilities are the building blocks of the nation, but unfortunately, instead of investing their abilities within the nation, the mass has chosen to leave and utilize their skills elsewhere. This hysterical pattern of finding ‘the grass greener on the other side’ also hampers the growth of companies such as WebSearch. More than 50% of the staffs we initially hired have already quit for further studies abroad. It is notoriously difficult to find and retain skilled people!
As long as the most able people trying their best to leave, this country will never develop, and companies such as WebSearch can never prosper. The country will be left with just half developed companies drained of ideas, skill and creativity and heaps of collapsed ones behind.
Therefore, WebSearch has decided to invest in those young people who are talented but could not afford a higher education. It is less likely for such people to go abroad as they don’t have the money to do so. We want to educate them and arm them with the right skills and knowledge which can be utilized to develop our own nation.
WebSearch scholarship program
WebSearch invests in talented and career driven young students who could otherwise not afford a higher education. The scholarship is for students who has completed grade 12 and wants to make a career in IT and Web Technology.
