IT scholarship

The scholarship is for students who has completed grade 12, fulfill all the admission criteria of Kathmandu University and wants to make a career in IT and Web Technology. This scholarship program will effectively provide WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd with reliable human resources, and create opportunities for young professionals who could otherwise not afford it.

1. Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible for admission at Kathmandu University and family income of the candidate must be less than NRs. 1,20,000/- per annum.

2. The scholarship program includes:

• Two seats for B.E. in Computer Engineering every year with likelihood to increase in the future.
• 60 % of tuition fee for all the four years.
• Remaining 40% should be earned by the student by completing projects for WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd during the study period without compromising academic norms of Kathmandu University. These projects shall be designed to give the students suitable practical skills.
• Each student will be assigned one mentor to guide through the education ensuring that they understand how to apply the skills they learn during their studies.
• Mandatory 4 years of employment in WebSearch Pvt. Ltd after completion of the studies, as per the commitment paper before getting scholarship.

3. Scholarship application
The students are requested to send an application and the completely filled scholarship form. The form can be downloaded from WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd and Department of Computer Science and Engineering website or be collected from the University.

4. Interviews and references
The short listed candidates will be called for an interview which will be held in either in KU or WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd. WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd will shortlist the candidates while a jury involving both K.U. and WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd shall conduct the interviews. The interview shall be of two rounds with written and oral examinations along with aptitude and personality tests. The majority decision of the jury will finalize the selection of students.

5. Terms and conditions for the student

• The selected student has to perform a commitment agreement with WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd, before getting scholarship.
• WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd will evaluate each student every 6 months. Evaluations will be based on academic performance, practical skills and attitude.
• A scholarship can be canceled if the students do not pass the exams, if they do not finish their practical projects or if the evaluation is not satisfactory.
• Students are compulsory liable to work in WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd for at least 4 years to return the investment to the company. There will be no discrimination in the salary scale of the scholarship candidate in comparison to other employees.
• If a person wants to cancel the agreement they are liable to refund the investment up to such date to WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd.
• WebSearch Professional Pvt. Ltd will mak e contract with the students detailing term and condition of the scholarship.
